"Recommended Reading" has it all. In fake news, the lead story on the New York Times mobile app last night was headlined "Covid Cases Surge..." But look at our charts on page 12. Nationally, cases are in a two-week downtrend (as they are in 25 states). In real-ish news, the journal "Andrology" reports that Covid vaccinations reduce sperm count. "Temporarily," the paper's headline claims (but the paper's own data shows it's not temporary at all).

In "Recommended Reading," new cases in Shanghai down to two. Unfortunately that isn't "Zero Covid."

In "Recommended Reading," the New York Times just can't understand why so many American parents don't believe the New York Times and refuse to get their youngest children vaccinated with vaccines that have proved a disappointment for everyone else who's already had them. Hmmm. Quite the puzzler.

The WTO has decided to abrogate the patent rights of Covid vaccine inventors so that "developing economies" can manufacture their vaccines royalty-free. To each according to his need -- you know the Marxist drill. The hell of it that the WTO classes China as a "developing economy." Even if need is your standard to invoke coerced charity and strip away property rights... China, really?

In "Recommended Reading," a new study in the prestigious journal "Science" finds one's immune response is a complicated product of prior exposures to different strains -- and has little to do with vaccination. Also, lots of fresh fake Covid news from Texas.

As it must to all men, Covid has come to Anthony Stephen Fauci. He was double-vaccinated, double-boosted and double-masked. We sincerely wish him a speedy recovery.

In "Recommended Reading," an interesting political angle. Trump's base has strongly turned against vaccines -- yet at rallies Trump continues to celebrate his "Operation Warp Speed" that rushed the vaccines out in the first place. A rare case of Trump being out of step with his base.

In "Recommended Reading," critic Alex Berenson takes on what he considers deceptive efficacy measures for the Pfizer vaccine in young children. Unlike prior trials, he says they are only counting infections after three doses have been administered, and that's only 10% of the infections across the whole trial. Whatever you think about Covid vaccination in general, this is worth a skeptical look.

In "Recommended Reading," China just isn't giving up. Despite no fatalities in 15 days and just a few hundred cases every day nationwide (see our case accelerometer on page 3), the authorities are warning of an "explosive outbreak" in a hair salon in Shanghai. Sigh.

At last. The Biden administration has dropped its requirement for Covid testing to board an overseas flight to the US. But that's only because experts have determined that tests are no longer necessary -- a tiny mark on your fingernail can determine that you "could" have Covid. No kidding. It's in "Recommended Reading" for your disinformation pleasure.
