What a shocker. An advocacy organization called "4 Day Week Global" has released a "study" of 3,000 British businesses that let their employees work 4 days, and pay them for 5. It has nothing to do with Covid stay-at-home stuff -- just a new work-and-pay pattern. Supposedly they love the results, and plan to continue after the study period. Sounds like a Commie conspiracy, and it probably is. That said, for certain businesses, it may well be that past employment patterns are not ideal and that production and productivity, both, could be increased by trying new things (with extra leisure on the side, as a kind of bonus -- which in some cases will be redeployed in new forms of production). Worth keeping an open mind about.
