How embarrassing. The White House retweeted a link to a Lancet Preprint -- a metastudy, not a study -- that it purports shows the great effectiveness of vaccines in children. Obviously hoping nobody actually reads it, because it says "In 5-11-year-old children mRNA-vaccines are moderately effective against infections with the Omicron variant, but probably still protect well against COVID-19 hospitalisations."  Moderately? Probably? Not exactly what you want to see to justify the White House's draconian mandates as they drag the pandemic crisis on an on. It's in "Recommended Reading."
