You wonder why there is a credibility problem with our public health officials? In "Recommended Reading" -- even the cheerleaders at the New York Times don't know how to position the FDA's decision on booster shots. At first, in their online live coverage, the story was that the FDA panel "overwhelmingly rejected recommended Pfizer booster shots for most recipients." But then the paper-edition editors spun it into this first-page story with most of the same text, but a very different headline: "F.D.A. Advisory Panel Recommends Pfizer Boosters for Older People and Others at High Risk."
