What you're not hearing about how the United States is getting vaccinated

The US reached adult herd immunity almost two weeks ago. The distribution of vaccines is uneven across the states, with a larger share of doses going to "blue" states. We don't know whether this is intentional, or what the motives for it might be. But it is optimal for the re-opening of the economy to bolster the confidence of people in blue states who locked down the most, and experienced the deepest scarring to the animal spirits of capitalism.
