If we care about human flourishing -- and if we care about climate -- we should use more fossil fuels, not less.

Update to Strategic View

Epstein argues that only fossil fuels can empower the advance of billions of the world's poor into prosperity. Wind and solar are too unreliable and too expensive. Climate science is misrepresented by its interpreters as pointing to catastrophe. Climate-related deaths have fallen sharply over decades even as the world has slightly warmed, in large part because advances powered by fossil fuels build resiliency. Epstein turned back a cancel-culture attack by the Washington Post by pre-emptively and candidly dealing with all their accusations. He advocates an "argue to 100" approach in which citizens, firms and investors unreservedly advocate for the unique power of fossil fuels to create prosperity and a more secure environment.
