How to reframe your brain for success (with a healthy side-order of politics).

Update to Strategic View

Adams’ new book Reframe Your Brain is about recognizing the power of words in forming your thoughts and behaviors, and choosing alternative words – reframes – to reprogram yourself for better performance. Reframes don’t have to be true, they just need to work. Master reframers like Steve Jobs generate a reality distortion field that both maximizes performance and recruits followers. Investors need to reframe to stop trying to be right, and instead to predict; to liberate themselves from opinions they are assigned by media catering to their particular investment genres; to stop imagining they can mind-read economic policy-makers like Powell; and learn that things that look safe are risky (and that look risky might be safe). Adams predicts Trump will be re-elected with historic turnout thanks to reframing the lawfare against him as a war against Republicans. Ramaswamy and Kennedy are both master persuaders who are changing the public dialog powerfully even without having much chance of winning.
