Mr. Market says Trump will win – but there could be weeks of uncertainty after election day.
What you're not hearing about how a blue wave could re-elect Trump
Friday, September 25, 2020
Democrats have been promoting voting by mail, but the chaos that may result could work against them.
Update to Strategic View
Widespread mail-in voting will delay the election's results, and may degenerate into accusations of fraud and litigation. If several states miss the deadline to appoint electors to the Electoral College, both Trump and Biden would be deprived of 270 votes and the president would be selected by the House in January. Even in a blue wave, the GOP will likely control a majority of state delegations in the House next year, so Trump would be re-elected. Ironically, when the votes in the tardy states are finally tallied, it may turn out that Biden would have won.
