Terror won't work against Israel: it's not a colonial power that can give up and go home -- there is no home to go to.

Update to Strategic View

The Nazi Holocaust was not an aberration, but only a manifestation of organized persecution of European Jews that had already been going on for over half a century, and it only succeeded because of the connivance of European nations, and America. The persecution continued after the war, as Jewish survivors were denied entry to America and the nations of Europe, and held in their prison camps for years -- by their supposed liberators -- until the founding of Israel, at last a nation that welcomed them. Now after the Hamas attacks, anti-Semitism thrives in Europe and the United States, with the characterization of Israel's Jews as colonialist oppressors rather than refugees from a century-plus of persecution. As a result, America and Europe are blinding themselves to Israel's strategic realities as it faces Hamas and other looming regional threats. Jews cannot leave Israel like the French left Algeria -- there is no homeland to return to. Saudi Arabia and UAE recognize this, and are offering to partner with Israel in deradicalizing Gaza after the fighting is done. The October attacks may end up strengthening Israel and building durable regional alliances.
